Chuusi.ca sent us two korean skincare products to try last month. We put it to the test and came up with some results from the last few weeks. But first, Chuusi.ca is an e-commerce that specializes in Asian cosmetics and skincare. They are always constantly expanding their inventory so they carry trendy products from Asia for its North American customers. We were sent Nature Republic’s Fresh Green Tea Seed Serum and Missha’s Super Aqua Water Supply Essence to test out.
Nature Republic Fresh Green Tea Seed Serum is moisturizing and it’s a nutritive skin serum. It is enriched with fresh green tea leaves and green tea seed oil which gives moisture and nutrients to your skin. It has a really nice scent and it goes on the skin really smooth. It definitely hydrates the skin (especially with my dry skin) and doesn’t take long to absorb.
Missha’s Super Aqua Water Supply Essence is a gel-type essence that increases moisture level in the skin while keeping your skin oil-free so it feels hydrated without shine and greasiness. I definitely prefer this one because it is more hydrating than the Seed Serum, it feels super cooling to the skin and it lasts longer than most of my skincare products. There is a slightly stronger scent and does have a little bit of a stickiness feeling. If you prefer scent-free products, this might not be a product for you.
Overall, the two skincare products work really well with my dry/sensitive skin. Korean skincare products are made more for women that want porcelain-like skin and their main features are moisturizing the skin.
For a short and simple comparison, the Essence is used to optimize your skin’s natural cell turnover rate which is similar to skin regeneration. The Serum is thicker and are meant to hydrate the skin.
Thanks to Chuusi.ca for sending us some korean skincare, all opinions are my own. Definitely check out their skincare and cosmetics on their website!
